More complications. I got the prototype for the receiver module built, but ran into another problem. It appears that, when two or more channels end "at the same time", they actually do not end at exactly the same time, but about 10 µS apart. (My crappy 'scope didn't catch this before.)

Well, guess what. I have reached that point where I have had enough of this trying to save a buck or two on controllers. If I need one controller for each channel, so be it. They are $1.50 or $2.00 a piece after all! Actually it's not the expense so much as the board space and weight that concerns me. But it occurs to me that the master bus controller can be combined with one of the channels anyway, so I'm going to have four controllers instead of three. No big deal!
